Probationary period: Normally one year from the date of joining, extendable further, if necessary.

Eligibility:
- Postgraduate (M.Sc. / M.Tech. / any equivalent postgraduate degree) in Physics and in advanced materials science and technology,
- Ph.D. in advanced material science (capable of interdisciplinary teaching and research) from a recognized /standard / reputed Institute,
- At least five years of research experience with evidence of quality publications in any peer-reviewed journal in the areas as stated above.
- Preference will be given to candidates with at least five years of post-doctoral research experience in any reputed Institute / University in India / abroad.
- Special awards and/or national and/or international recognitions for research / innovations will carry special weightage.
Note:
In tune with National Educational Policy (NEP 2020), the University is looking to strengthen application-oriented interdisciplinary research and apps development to benefit farmers, support medical and environmental research, etc. Hence the applicant should be a material scientist with huge hands-on experience, proven track record through publications and patents on fabrication of nano-electronic devices, particularly on printed sensors for medical and environmental applications, and should be capable of teaching M.Sc. / Integrated (B.Sc.+M.Sc.) classes, Ph.D. courses and conducting independent and collaborative / interdisciplinary research, to take charge of and train students in the Physics Dept.’s Fabrication of design Laboratory (Fab-Lab) as well as encourage them for independent start-ups, entrepreneurships, etc. Candidates with both scientific and technological education and training at the postgraduate level from prestigious Technical Institutes in India / abroad will be preferred.
