Swami Sarvottamananda to take charge as Vice Chancellor of RKMVERI (Deemed University) on 3 August 2020

Swami Atmapriyananda ji, the present Vice Chancellor, will be handing over charge of the office of the Vice Chancellor of ‘Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (Deemed University)’, to Swami Sarvottamananda ji (Shreesh Maharaj) (who has been appointed by the Chancellor as Vice Chancellor in officiating capacity for one year from the date of his taking charge) on the forenoon of 3 August 2020, sacred birthday of Swami Niranjanananda Maharaj (Jhulan Purnima), having been privileged, by Sri Ramakrishna’s grace, to serve, for a little more than 15 years (from 4 July 2005 to 3 August 2020) since its very inception as the first Vice Chancellor of this unique institution that Swami Vivekananda himself envisioned on the very day of his passing away in mahasamadhi, prophesying that “the spiritual impact that has come to Belur [Math] will last fifteen hundred years and it shall be a great University. Do not think I imagine it; I see it.” However, Swami Atmapriyananda will continue to be associated with RKMVERI (Deemed University) as a Pro-Chancellor and try to contribute to its further growth in that capacity and also continue as the Secretary of the University Centre at Belur.

Swami Atmapriyananda ji hereby conveys his heartfelt thankfulness to all the stakeholders of the University—monks (sannyasins and brahmacharins) serving here, faculty members, staff, students, all others associated with RKMVERI in whatever capacity—and requests them all to join in conveying their very best wishes to Swami Sarvottamananda ji (Shreesh Maharaj), who has been serving the University since its very inception in various capacities, and be present at the Vice Chancellor’s office at the time of his taking charge on 3 August 2020 (Monday) at 11.30 am in the presence of Revered Swami Divyananda ji, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Saradapitha, and a member of the Governing Body of Ramakrishna Mission (Sponsoring Society of the University).

Further, the Board of Management of the University has decided on the following re-shuffle at the offices of the Registrar and the Controller of Examinations in the interest of their more effective functioning by appointing the following monastic brothers in the posts mentioned against them. They will also assume charge of their respective posts with effect from 3 August 2020:
