INFORMATION (as on 24 September 2024) REGARDING
‘Diploma in Agricultural Extension Services for Input Dealers (DAESI)’ Courses,
conducted by ‘Sasya Shyamala’ Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) under the aegis of
Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI),
Deemed to be University as declared by the Govt. of India under UGC Act, 1956,
with Headquarters at Belur Math, West Bengal

  1. Intake capacity and frequency:

    The intake capacity is 40 numbers of students for each batch. Candidates are being selected by the office of Deputy Director of Agriculture, Alipore, South 24 pgs, Govt. of West Bengal. Two courses are run by Sasya Shyamala KVK every year.

  2. Number of students who have DAESI course and got final certificates in last 5 years (from 2019—2024) (List of students available at the ‘Sasya Shyamala’ KVK office at Arapanch in South 24-Parganas district)

  3. Start of the DAESI Courses every year and conduct of the final examination:

    December-January; final exams after the completion of the Course depending on its duration.

  4. Regarding approval for the DAESI Courses:

    The DAESI courses are conducted by ‘Sasya Shyamala’ KVK, with the cognizance of ICAR-ATARI Kolkata. All the KVKs of West Bengal, including ours (‘Sasya Shyamala’ KVK)conduct the DAISI Courses as Nodal Training Institutes (NTI) approved by MANAGE, Hyderabad, for conducting DAESI Courses.

  5. Jurisdiction:

    ‘Sasya Shyamala’ KVK, under the aegis of our Deemed to be University, RKMVERI, has been established for the District of South 24-Parganas of West Bengal, the question of allowing any organization from any other district to conduct DAESI Courses unnder the ‘Sasya Shyamala’ KVK does not arise. Only the candidates from South 24-Parganas District, selected by the Office of the Deputy Director of Agriculture, Alipore, South 24-Parganas are considered for the DAESI Course conducted by our ‘Sasya Shyamala’ KVK.
