Under the UGC’s Scheme of ‘Short-term Skill Development Courses in Higher Educational Institutes’ (suitably adapted)

This important short-term course has been suitably adapted under the following specific area identified by UGC, under its Scheme of ‘Short-term Skill Development Courses in Higher Educational Institutes’ namely, “Health and Wellness—Courses focusing on mental health counselling, nutrition and dietetics, and fitness training in response to the growing awareness of personal well-being and holistic health & wellness”.

Details:

The course will be offered simultaneously at two locations:

1. Belur Math Main Campus
   • 6-month course from July to December 2025
   • Eligibility: Male candidates only, age from 18 to 60 years, who are medically fit.
   • Minimum Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent.
   • Intake Capacity: 50 (Fifty only, first come first served on basis of payment)
   • Medium of Instruction: English / Bengali / Hindi
   • Mode of Classes: Offline (in-person at the Belur main campus)
   • Class Schedule:
     • Saturdays: 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
     • Sundays: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
2. Nivedita Bhavan at Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House, Kolkata
   • 6-month course from July to December 2025
   • Eligibility: Both Male and Female candidates, aged 18 to 60 years, who are medically fit.
   • Minimum Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent.
   • Intake Capacity: Male: 24 ; Female: 24 (first come first served on basis of payment)
   • Medium of Instruction: English / Bengali / Hindi
   • Mode of Classes: Offline (in-person at Nivedita Bhavana, Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House, Kolkata)
   • Class Schedule: 
     • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
     • Wednesday: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

2. Upload Documents: Attach a scanned passport-size photo and the following certificates—higher secondary (plus two exam) or equivalent marksheet, age-proof certificate (Admit Card of the Class X (madhyamik or equivalent exam), medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner, any other documents relating to the applicant’s extra-curricular / sports & games activities including trophies, medals, recognitions.
3. Admission Fees (to paid at the time of admission): Rs.2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only)
   • Course Fees: Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) payable fully at the time of admission, with the proviso that, in case of those who feel unable to pay the entire amount at the very beginning, the course fee of Rs.10,000/-, may be paid in two equal installments as follows:
     • First installment of Rs.5000/- at the time of admission
     • Second and final installment of Rs.5000/- after three months

• Examination & Certification: At the end of the course
