'Swami Abhedananda Chair Professor’ position in Indian Philosophy/Sanskrit - 18 Aug 2018

Owing to non-response to our call for applications from suitable candidates, a Search-cum-Selection Committee was formed to identify a person possessing scholarship in Indian Culture and Philosophy (both Eastern and Western) as well in Ramakrishna-Vivekananda-Abhedananda philosophical thoughts to hold the Swami Abhedananda Chair.

The Search-cum-Selection Committee after due deliberation, submitted its recommendation to the Board of Management on the Janma Jayanti (sacred birthday) of Swami Abhedanandaji on 30 September 2021. The Board of Management, on acceptance of the recommendation of the Search-cum-Selection Committee, sent an an offer inviting the recommended candidate to take up the Chair, who accepted the offer and joined as ‘The Swami Abhedananda Chair, on 1 December 2021. Now the activities of the Chair–research, teaching, publication, etc.–are going on in full swing.
