The Indian Knowledge System (IKS) is a multidisciplinary framework that encompasses India’s vast intellectual, scientific, and cultural traditions, spanning subjects like vedic mathematics, astronomy, Ayurveda, architecture, linguistics, philosophy, and more. Rooted in ancient texts, IKS offers valuable insights that remain relevant in modern times. It emphasizes holistic learning, sustainability, and the integration of traditional wisdom with contemporary scientific advancements. The Central Sanskrit University organises The Indian Knowledge System Olympiad every year.

The Department of Sanskrit and Philosophy always encourages the students to participate in all such philanthropic programs. This year a number of students from the department participated in the IKS olympiad.
