The Joy of Learning Program (JoLP) is a unique initiative involving our students, teachers, and farmers of rural Jharkhand. The program’s motto, “to know joyfully from the village farming,” emphasizes experiential learning and the joy of acquiring knowledge directly from practical experiences. Under this program, students and teachers engage with progressive farmers of a village (preferably RKM adopted villages), including farm women, who act as teachers. These farmers share their extensive knowledge and innovative practices in agriculture and allied livelihood activities, fostering a hands-on learning environment. This exchange not only enhances the students’ understanding of modern and traditional farming techniques but also strengthens the community bonds and highlights the invaluable role of women in agriculture and allied profession. The program aims to create a dynamic, interactive learning experience that benefits both students and the village community, promoting sustainable farming practices and empowering local farmers.
