Admission in Integrated Rural and Tribal Development, Morabadi, Ranchi


Eligibility for Admission

  1. For Five-year Integrated MSc IRTD course: Higher Secondary (Plus Two)—Science Stream—or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  2. For One-year Postgraduate Diploma course in ‘Agro-based Biotechnology’: B.Sc. with bio-science or agriculture/allied subjects with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregrate.
5% relaxation will be made by SC/ST candidates in all the courses.

  Marks obtained in the qualifying examination, together with written test/ interview

Admission Procedure

  1. Completed application form must reach the university office, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi,Ranchi on or before 5 pm of the last date prescribed in the application form and published in the notification.
  2. The university authority shall not take any responsibility for postal delay.
  3. Candidate shall be required to produce following original certificates at the time of interview:
  • Certificate showing the marks obtained in the Higher Secondary (Plus Two)/equivalent examination.
  • Conduct certificate from the Head of the Institution in which the candidate last studied for more than one year.
  • Migration certificate from the Board/University in which candidate last studied.
  • Medical/Health certificate in the prescribed form to be obtained from the Ashrama Dispensary.
  • Age certificate showing the date of birth, issued by the matric/equivalent Board of the State.
  • SC/ST certificate, if applicable.

iv)No TA etc. will be provided for appearing in the interview

Fees and deposits

For course (1): Integrated MSc IRTD course
    Rs.10,000/- per semester for the first three years (six semesters).
For course (2): One-year (two semesters) Postgraduate Diploma course in ‘Agro-based Bio-technology’
    Rs.6,000/- per semester.
In addition, every student shall pay a one-time fee of Rs.5100/-, which includes admission fee (Rs.3000/-), caution deposit (Rs.2000/-) and identity card charges (Rs.100/-). While caution deposit is refundable at the end of the course (after deduction for breakage, damages etc, if any), no other fees are refundable.
Free medical facilities for common diseases will be provided by the Ashrama Dispensary.
Note :

  • Last date for receiving the completed application forms is 5 July 2008.

  • Admission will start from 14 July 2008.
  • Classes will begin from 18 August 2008.
