    • Collaboration with Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata
      1. Abhijit Pal, a PhD student at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, has recently submitted his PhD thesis. He has officially worked with Mahan Mj as his PhD adviser.
      2. Shubhabrata Das is currently a joint PhD student of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University and Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. He is officially registered with Mahan Mj as his PhD adviser. This has given rise to an academic collaboration between the Department of Mathematics, Ramkrishna Mission University and the Sta-Math Unit of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.
    • Collaboration with Universite Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France
      1. Bodhisattwa Basu, a PhD student at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University went to Universite Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France, as an exchange student for a semester (Fall 2008) in Geometry-Topology. He is currently an exchange at IMSc (Institute of Mathematical Sciences) Chennai.
      2. Herve Pajot (hyperbolic geometry) from Universite Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France,visited us from 26th July till 10th August 2008. The idea is to have some exchange in Geometric Group Theory/Kleinian groups/Hyperbolic geometry etc where there’s hardly any presence in the country.
      3. Christine Lescop Universite Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France, visited ISI Kolkata from 10th September till 25th September 2008 at the invitation of Mahan Mj.
